How we got started...

We are a group of individuals who have recovered from alcohol and drug addictions. We are individuals who in the beginning regularly met at the address 3801 South Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA. This facility became known as one of the original meeting facilities in Los Angeles as a place that saved lives. Thousands of individuals attended this facility receiving the therapeutic treatment required to sustain recovery and recreate their lives. This facility served the community for over 16 years. Unfortunately, in 2002 the owner lost the building. The services rendered at this facility, which had become known to save so many lives, was no longer available. The facility of hope was gone. Consequently, a group of individuals understood the value of the services rendered at this facility, and the importance of finding a way to preserve this safe haven. Thus, this group created Operation 3801, Inc., a non-profit organization who’s primary purpose is to address the “Unmet Needs of Alcohol/Substance Abuse Individuals and Their Families in Our Community.

What we do

As a unique group of men and women in the addiction field, we are devoted to providing addiction services including, relapse intervention/prevention, referrals, educational empowerment, networking opportunities, professional development and support to our members. There are so many individuals currently suffering from drug and/or alcohol addiction who may be residing in a residential treatment facility. Upon completion of their treatment plan they are released back into society. In order for these individuals to maintain their sobriety and clean time, they must have continued maintenance. In the inner city, we do not have enough facilities which are maintained. Our facility is dedicated to providing these services.
